Modernism
in the Classics

Nestled within the alleyways of Clarke Quay, Willow redefines the culinary experience by infusing a contemporary twist into Asian cuisine, taking diners on an exquisite journey across the globe. Inspired by the rich tapestry of traditional Japanese fare and the sophistication of European fine dining, the Ebb and Flow Group’s establishment stands as a bold and unrestrained celebration of Japan's premium ingredients and diverse cooking techniques from around the world.

At its heart, Willow's culinary philosophy is centred on embracing maximal flavours while revering the innate qualities and harmonious interplay of seasonal ingredients. By expertly marrying the principles of modern gastronomy with the bounty of fresh, seasonal Japanese produce, Willow beckons guests to revel in a realm of endless possibilities and delightful surprises, all the while upholding the essence of both tradition and innovation.

Design Inspiration

The brand identity of Willow draws inspiration from the resilience and growth of the willow tree, reflected in the brand's name. The association of willow trees with riverbanks and the graceful movements of water ripples mirrors the ever-changing nature of the seasonal restaurant menu and chef's creations. With the chosen sans-serif typeface that embodies the brand's understated yet strong presence, coupled with secondary graphics, they subtly reflect the essence of nature.

For the design of the logo mark, the top half aims to represent roots and a strong foundation, while the bottom half embodies the cascading lines of a willow tree. Just like the cuisine, both halves mirror each other in terms of excellence, perspective, and intricacy. Additionally, the shapes are inspired by the curves and lines in the letter 'W', paying homage to its name and resembling the branches of a willow tree.

Willow's journey to success goes beyond its physical restaurant space. The brand has strategically solidified its presence through its visuals on digital platforms such as social media and the restaurant’s website and a range of collaterals such as physical and digital menus, each element carefully designed and curated to strengthen the brand's identity.

Just shy of its two-year anniversary, Willow achieved a significant milestone by being awarded One MICHELIN Star in the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2023. This prestigious recognition was earned through the restaurant's unwavering commitment to excellence in both service and food quality. Genuine positive feedback from patrons and critics alike has contributed to the organic growth of the brand, firmly establishing Willow as a prominent name in the fine dining scene alongside other renowned restaurants.
